When you view a player's profile there is an "Add ******* to your friends list" link. Clicking this will make that player appear in the "Your Friends" list in the left hand side of each page. This is a way of quickly seeing when they're online and also easily sending them a private message. Viewing the profile of someone who's already your friend give you the option to remove them from your list. Note: Players are not notified when you add or remove them from your friends list - it is simply a tool for your convenience.
