Hot Tip: Keep Knights As Close To The Center As Possible

More than any other piece, Knights need to be near the center of the board. There are two good reasons for this:

1. A Knight in the center controls eight squares vs. four on the side or two in the corner.

2. Since the Knight is a short range piece, it can take four moves to move from one side of the board to the other. From the center, a Knight can reach any side in two moves.
